An Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) is a congenital heart condition in which an abnormal opening develops between the upper chambers of the heart, allowing oxygen-rich and oxygen-poor blood to mix. If left untreated, it may lead to heart enlargement, pulmonary hypertension, arrhythmias, or heart failure. Dr. (Col) Ajay Bahadur, a leading Interventional Cardiologist in Lucknow, provides advanced ASD device closure using minimally invasive techniques for faster recovery and excellent long-term outcomes.
A Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) is a hole in the wall separating the heart’s lower chambers (ventricles), causing abnormal blood flow and increased workload on the heart. Large or untreated VSDs can result in breathing difficulties, recurrent infections, and heart failure. Dr. (Col) Ajay Bahadur offers comprehensive diagnosis and advanced treatment for VSD, ensuring personalized care with the latest interventional and surgical treatment options based on each patient’s condition.
Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) is a congenital heart defect in which the ductus arteriosus fails to close naturally after birth. This abnormal connection causes excessive blood flow to the lungs and may increase the risk of heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and recurrent chest infections. Dr. (Col) Ajay Bahadur provides expert evaluation and minimally invasive PDA device closure to restore normal circulation and improve long-term heart health.
CT Coronary Angiography (CTCA) is a non-invasive imaging test that uses advanced CT technology to produce detailed images of the coronary arteries. It helps detect blockages, plaque buildup, and coronary artery disease without the need for conventional angiography in selected patients. Dr. (Col) Ajay Bahadur uses CT Coronary Angiography for accurate diagnosis, early detection of heart disease, and effective treatment planning for patients with chest pain or other cardiac symptoms.
A hole in the heart, such as an ASD or certain types of congenital defects, can affect normal blood circulation and increase the risk of long-term heart complications. Pinhole Device Closure is a minimally invasive procedure performed through a catheter without the need for open-heart surgery in suitable cases. Dr. (Col) Ajay Bahadur specializes in advanced device closure techniques that promote quicker recovery, minimal discomfort, and excellent clinical outcomes.
Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) Filter Placement is a minimally invasive procedure used to prevent blood clots from traveling from the legs to the lungs, reducing the risk of a potentially life-threatening pulmonary embolism. It is recommended for patients who cannot take blood-thinning medications or are at high risk of recurrent blood clots. Dr. (Col) Ajay Bahadur, an experienced Interventional Cardiologist in Lucknow, performs IVC Filter Placement using advanced image-guided techniques to ensure safe, precise, and effective treatment with faster recovery and improved patient outcomes.
An Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD/AICD) is a small, life-saving electronic device implanted in the chest to continuously monitor heart rhythm and deliver electrical therapy whenever dangerous arrhythmias are detected. It plays a vital role in preventing sudden cardiac arrest in patients with severe heart rhythm disorders or weakened heart function. Dr. (Col) Ajay Bahadur, a renowned Interventional Cardiologist in Lucknow, offers expert evaluation, ICD/AICD implantation, and comprehensive follow-up care using advanced techniques to improve patient safety, restore confidence, and enhance long-term heart health.
Cardiac Ablation is an advanced minimally invasive procedure used to treat abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias) by targeting and eliminating the small areas of heart tissue responsible for irregular electrical signals. It is commonly recommended for conditions such as Atrial Fibrillation (AF), Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT), Atrial Flutter, and other rhythm disorders that do not respond well to medication. Dr. (Col) Ajay Bahadur performs advanced cardiac ablation procedures using modern technology to restore a normal heart rhythm, reduce symptoms, improve quality of life, and help patients return to their daily activities with confidence.
