अपोलो हॉस्पिटल लखनऊ में 58 वर्षीय मरीज़ जिन्हे पहले से ही मधुमेह और उच्च रक्तचाप था उन्हें सीने में दर्द के कारण भर्ती कराया गया, जहाँ जांच में हार्ट अटैक का पता चला।
कोरोनरी एंजियोग्राफी में पता चला की उनके ह्रदय की धमनियों में कई जगह रूकावट थी। CABG (कोरोनरी आर्टरी बायपास ग्राफ्टिंग) के लिए रोगी को सलाह दी गई, लेकिन जब मरीज CABG के लिए तैयार नहीं था, तब एक नई तकनीक का इस्तेमाल किया गया इंट्रा वैस्कुलर लिथोट्रिप्सी (IVL) और सभी ब्लॉकेज खोले गए। सफलतापूर्वक कोरोनरी एंजियोप्लास्टी द्वारा रोगी को अगले दिन छुट्टी दे दी गई।

Balloon Dilatation With Aortic Stenting
A 23 year physically active female patient presented to Apollo Hospitals Lucknow with uncontrolled hypertension and bilateral lower limb claudication. On evaluation, patient was found to have feeble bilateral lower limb pulses.
CT Aortogram revealed discrete POSTDUCTAL SEVERE CO-ARCTATION OF AORTA.
Balloon dilatation with aortic stenting was done under fluoroscopic guidance with CP stent (BIB technology). Post procedure, patient's symptoms improved and now, patient is asymptomatic on follow up with normal blood pressure and lower limb pulse.
